Take the seasonal ups and downs out of your energy bills with an Equal Payment Plan (EPP).
PSE&G looks at how much energy you used over the past year and estimates your total yearly cost. That amount is divided into 12 equal monthly payments.
You can enroll in an EPP if you have not lived at your present address for a full year. However, we will estimate the EPP amount based on the usage data available at the address from prior resident(s). After 6 months, we will review your account and may adjust your EPP amount if there are changes in your energy use.
The Equal Payment Plan requires that you pay the EPP amount monthly. If you miss an EPP payment, you should pay that missed payment as soon as possible.
Once a year, you’ll be billed your regular Equal Payment Plan amount plus any balance due, or less any credit. We’ll also let you know if your payment amount needs to be adjusted due to a change in your energy use.
You can unenroll from the Equal Payment Plan at any time. Your balance or credit as compared to your actual usage will be applied at that time.
PSE&G's Equal Payment Plan (EPP) estimates your yearly energy costs (based on last year's usage) and divides the total into 12 equal monthly payments. You pay the same amount for your energy bill each month.
• After 6 months, we will review your account and may adjust your EPP amount if there is a change in your energy use.
• In the 12th month, we will bill your EPP amount plus any balance due or credit accumulated as compared to your actual annual usage.
• Your bill will have a section labelled "PSE&G Equal Payment Plan" where you can review your EPP as compared to actual usage.
In order to qualify for an EPP, the balance on your PSE&G bill must be current. You cannot have a past due balance. If you have been at your present address for less than one year, we will estimate the EPP amount based on the usage data available.
