With the Equal Payment Plan, you pay for the energy you use, but the total cost is divided into equal payment plans.
Avoid seasonal peaks in your energy bills!
With a predictable monthly energy bill, you won't have to worry about sudden budget-busting fluctuations caused by hot summer days or cold winter nights.
We'll forecast your yearly energy costs (based on last year's usage) and divide the total into equal monthly payments.
Note: Once a year, you’ll be billed your regular Equal Payment Plan amount plus any balance due, or less any credit. We’ll also let you know if your payment amount needs to be adjusted due to a change in your energy use.
In order to qualify for an Equal Payment Plan (EPP), the balance on your PSE&G bill must be current. It must not include past due balances. Your Equal Payment Plan amount is calculated by dividing your previous year's energy usage into 12 equal monthly payments. Your account will be reviewed every 6 months. If your energy use changes and your payment amount needs a revision up or down, you will be notified. You can also help us keep your plan on track by reviewing your usage and payments to date each month and advising us of any significant changes. Simply check the section on your bill labeled, "PSE&G Equal Payment Plan". This section can be found near the end of your billing statement. If you have been at your present address for less than one year, we will estimate the Equal Payment Plan amount based on the data available.
